Norma Kamali + Spiegel

Yet another odd design pairing has come across the "desk" today: Norma Kamali and Spiegel. Ms. Kamali was in her design heyday in the'70's, with her flowing, draped designs, harking to the '40's. She is also very well known for her wrapped swimwear.

The designs are quite nice--simple and elegant, with a twist.

west elm sale

Continuing on the home theme today, I just happened to notice that west elm has some nice items in their sale area. There stuff is great!

CB2 : Catalog

CB2, the "lower-priced" offshoot of Crate and Barrel is launching their first paper catalog. Their items are quite nice--clean and modern. Sort of an Ikea feel to them. At any rate, it's a nice find if you want to spruce up your space without too much cash.

MAC Cosmetics & Catherine Deneuve

MAC Cosmetics and the inimitable Catherine Deneuve have teamed up to create two lines:
Colour and Face. Aimed at the moature woman, to me the colors and formulations would be for everyone. I mean, really, who wouldn't want to be like Catherine Deneuve?? She has continuously challenged herself in her career, all the while maintaining a professionalism and grace. You go!
